A "good-normal" year

Since some years I wanted to enter to university and see how it's like, cause I was always bored at school. Every year the inspector said to me that I should cut my hair, and obviously, I hated to use uniform, and now that I am in the university, I haven't really asked to me if this is what I wanted or even if this has been a good year to me, so am gonna talk about that.

Well, actually and most important, cause this is the context that mold almost all my acts, it's that I am very happy for getting in the university and having the experience of studying in the best university of this country. Also, I feel great with all those friends that I've met here, including those that are writting this post exactly at the same hour I am (22:34 PM). So thanks to all of you <3.

I have to say that I dont really find any bad thing that happened to me deserves to be accentuated, cause being honest I haven't suffered anything terrible this year, and thats ok to me (why should I like to suffer anyway?).

I must say that I don't really have any goal to this year, or something to do before it's over, maybe that I would like to get a tattoo or buying another skinny jeans, so material (like archaeology <3). The closest to a goal for this year is that I want to exempt every subject I can, so I can start to rest earlier.

So well, that's all, I don't have much to say really. It's been a "good-normal" year to me, and nothing really bad happened to me this year, Nature or God must be proud of me.

Childhood's Series

As we know, today channels like Cartoon Network transmit a lot of bizarre cartoons like Adventure Time or Regular Show, attempting to a crude humor and bizarre/weird draws. Actually I don't watch much  TV, just anime or certain movies on my pc, so I can't please myself watching those programs.

Fortunatly as a child, TV emitted a lot of good programs, teaching us things such as a basic use of english, or values like fellowship and solidarity.

One of  'em was Blue's Clues. On this american children's television program, we follow Steve in his search of Blue, a little dog, which in every chapter goes to walk around differente places around the house where they live.

To find her, he follow some clues, mainly objects that are marked by the "palm" of Blue's paw. After finding three clues, Steve sits on the "thinking chair", where after thinking some minutes he can connect those three ideas to create something "material", for example a certain toy like a doll. So, when he goes to where he remember that there was a doll, there's Blue playing with it. <3 LOVE THAT SERIE!!!

As I was growing, I also changed the TV series that I liked to watch. So, Digimon was (and still being) my favorite chilhood serie. Emitted by Fox Kids, it was about seven boys and girls that are teleported to the "Digital World", just in middle of their summer camp.

There, they discover the existence of "Digimons" (abbreviation of DIGItal MONsters), which are monsters, or in that world, a sort of "normal animals" there, that they used to fight (non-gore fights) to another Digimons, with the objective of leaveing that world and return to theirs. It had a lot of adventure, action and a very nice soundtrack, all of us remember the opening or ending of the series.

So well, nothing more to say really, I had a nice childhood with perfect cartoons, better than the actual ones.

As green as possible

All we know global warming has started to impact the whole world since many years ago, and how fast this is happening continues to grow. In Chile, we don't have much "implanted" a friendly way to take advantage of environment, fortunately, everday appears more and more NGOs trying to aware us about the problems that we have and that we cause.

As I said, people learn about this in many ways, getting information through social networks (and participating on events, march, etc), being member of an NGO, reading news or even looking for this information on internet.


I have to say that I try to be as much "careful" with mother nature as I can. I've never thrown  trash on the street, when I get a shower I try to use the fewest possible amount of water, I always turn off those lights that are on with no sense. Also, in my home we don't use plastic bags to go shopping.

When I need to go to a place that isn't in a long distance (like 1-2 hours walking), I preffer to walk instead of  using a bus or going by car. By the way, I still don't learn how to drive.

I don't really know what I would like to do to contribute to this noble cause, I'm already trying to pollute as least as possible, so, to reduce my carbon footprint I will probably never work on a company.

To finish this, I would like to say that, if we want to keep living, we need to take care about the place that let us live,  we need massive advertising, commercials, publicity, even some spaces in TV shows like news. We need everyone to know about the problem, and how we can still solve it.

If everything goes bad, all we know how this will end.

So… the scariest monster of my childhood

All of us has grown knowning tales like Little Red Riding Hood or Frankenstein, seriously doubting about existence of aliens or ghosts, believing on Santa Claus or Easter Bunny. However, there's a story, that due to his specificity on space and time, makes him one that is able to letting you think if it's real or just fiction, Dracula. On this ultra-famous book is where was created one of the most popular terms to talk about vampires, Nosferatu.

Nosferatu, basically, would be a synonym of vampire, but it's also a movie, entitled "Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror", that, really... as soon as I saw it, my mind just went out of place. As a german expressionist vampire horror film, released on 1922 and filmed by F.W. Murnau, it scared my whole childhood. Until now, I find it so creepy and horrifying.

 Like every vampire (at leas, the “original” vampires), he has big teeth to suck blood of their victims, he can’t tolerate sunray so he is pretty more active in the night. This way, it sounds like any other “classic” vampire, but, just look at his face. With a bald head, he has sharp ears (like elf’s ears), some kind of “natural”, giants and darks eye bags, with very thick eyebrows, unnatural large fingers and  basically, every single tooth is (or looks) like a fang.

I always remember the scene where he opens the door of a room and stays in front of it, or another in which he’s going upstairs, and you only see his shadow contour.

What a bad memories I have of it…

Review - Inside Job

All we know about the economic tradegy that USA lived on 2008. It isn’t the first crisis that the country has felt, but it is the one that is better show on a movie, called Inside Job.

On this film, well, a documentary, you will see the real facts and opinions about what happened on this crisis. With very clear objectives that the movie wants to make you know as clear as possible, you will experience deep answers that can make you feel how a whole country, a world potence, is capable of fall in a matter of months.

With unexpected interviews to important persons (like Oxford’s Director) you will be able to see how the greed and power of money can corrupt those guys, even if they just pass through the economy of a whole country.

Also, this film shows you how the USA society is changing, in benefit to CEO of companies, letting you know how the mid-class people get punished by the greed of few humans, even sacrificing the cost of schools and universities, same as Chile.

Now that you know how deep is this film, would you watch it to know the truth of this world and how it’s controled by the power of money? 

My future job!

When I entered to the university, I wanted to study  digital animation, after that (the last day to get inscribed in the University) social anthropology. Now, as the times passes, I’m almost sure that I’m going to choose archaeology.

I would like to know and travel to native tribes around the world, but now I see that this… “expired”, also I realized that I like more to dig and find bones and that, well, Archaeology.

I just mind my own doing works and investigations, maybe on north of Chile (I love llamas!), but it seems that south isn’t much known… so, whatever I would dig in any place I could do it. I would like to get a master on zooarchaeology, I find it way fun than checking plants and flowers.

I would like to study another brench of this career, like biologycal anthropology, that would be nice to perfect my archaeologycal techniques, cause both are very linked to animal body parts ( as well as human).

I dont think about getting much money on this work, I just do it cause I like it, but if I reach success, I would like to pay infinite vacations for my parents. (Mother and uncle<3)

At my shorts 18 years I've been in a lot of gig, from those little ones managed by friends ( I remember that some friends had a great band called "Hobbys", you can find 'em on soundcloud cause they sound very well and loud!) to those prepared on bars where they invite tribute bands of famous bands like Iron Maiden, AC/DC or all known ones. In fact, last friday I went to a gig on bar "Rock y Guitarras", very near Juan Gomez Millas, where were tribute bands of Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin.

Talking about that, Led Zeppelin it's one of my favorite bands, and... SURPRISE! The only concert I've been was to Robert Plant, the singer of Led Zeppelin. He didn't came with the original band members because it split up on 1980. Publicized as "The Voice of Led Zeppelin", he played on Movistar Arenas on 19th August of 2012, with his band called "Sensational Space Shifters". They played Robert's solo career songs as well some Led Zeppelin songs, doing some folk versions of 'em.

I remember when my uncle said to me that he was coming to Chile, I was like OMG we have to go!!! So well, he bought two tickets and we went to see one of our favorite singers.
